"Often described as the final expression of the Baroque movement, Rococo was exceptionally ornamental and theatrical – a style without rules."
Break bedtime convention with this dreamlike Rococo French Swan Bed. The design has been inspired by a bed that was designed by Berthault for Madame Récamier's (a socialite of the time) bedroom in around 1799, which now lives in the Louvre in Paris. The shell of the bed takes on a French sleigh style encasing you inside. Eccentrically decorated with gold flora and fauna, a statuesque figure on each leg, topped with four intricately carved gold swans. Hand carved in solid mahogany with gold gilt detailing.
