Small imperfections are part of the natural character of the furniture and should be expected when ordering antique reproduction furniture. We do not offer the manufactured mass produced modern reproduction look and small variations in carving and detail should be expected.
If you wish to go ahead with the order , we will ask for payment in full for items in stock, or a deposit of 35% for items which have to be specially ordered- this deposit is non-refundable should the order be canceled.
The carriers will require help lifting for larger items.
Guarantee All of our products come with our guarantee that they will reach you in perfect condition. On delivery our driver will ask you to inspect the goods, and to sign for them. Breakages and short deliveries should be notified to us immediately. We regret we are unable to send replacement stock unless the damaged items have been first returned to us in the original packaging.

If we intend to transfer your information outside the EEA (European Economic Area) we will always obtain your consent first.
We may use technology to track the patterns of behaviour of visitors to our site. This can include using a "cookie" which would be stored on your browser. Returns Policy If you are not completely satisfied with the condition of your purchase please let us know. We want all our customers to be completely delighted with their purchase. Our reputation relies on it. Please note that you must notify us as soon as possible of any problems that you have found with our products, and no later than 7 days from delivery. Retain the packaging until you have inspected the item, as we can't accept returns without the furniture being repacked, our carrier will not collect faulty items without this.
Items returned which are found not to be faulty, will be subject to a 10% restocking charge, and carriage will be charged both for delivery and for collection at the prevailing rate. We regret we are unable to offer a sale or return facility.
Tax Charges For orders made from the UK 20% VAT is included. Customers within the EU will not be charged VAT on condition that their VAT number is supplied prior to dispatch to their designated shipper. If the customer does not have a VAT number and resides within the EU then VAT will be charged. Orders received from all other locations are VAT free, and this will be deducted from the transaction at time of payment/dispatch.
Delivery We will normally send your order to you within 14 working days if an in stock item.(UK - excluding Ireland). All orders are shipped either by ourselves or dedicated furniture carrier. We will contact you if for any reason there is a delay in shipping your purchase, to ask you if you would like to cancel the order or wait for the estimated time which we will give you. Shipping to other countries needs to be arranged by the buyer. We are happy to dispatch goods for shipping overseas to your designated shipper. We can advise you on this once you have placed your order. If the shipping is more than you would like to pay we will accept a cancellation of the order.
Shipping & Handling All our prices exclude shipping and handling. Our standard rates apply on the British mainland, excluding the Scottish Highlands, Islands, Scottish AB postcodes, Northern and Southern Ireland. We will notify you what the charge will be prior to dispatch. This excludes very large items, regrettably it is necessary to make an additional charge for delivering these. It is more economical for you to take delivery of multiple items as one delivery because we don't calculate shipping on a per item basis. Please ask for multiple item rates.
For the Scottish Highlands, Islands, Scottish AB postcodes, Northern Ireland and Southern Ireland, please note that when ordering for delivery to these destinations the website doesn't calculate the carriage. We will contact you to advise you on this once you have placed your order and confirm that it is acceptable to you prior to dispatch.
We regret that our carriers are able to deliver to the door only, and are not insured for moving furniture in and around your home. This type of service enables us to deliver furniture to you at economic rates all over the UK and Ireland including all the Islands of Scotland.
Making a purchase Just browse through our web site, click on the order link or note down the items you wish to order. After you have finished your selection either confirm it on our secure server or phone or e-mail your order. We accept Visa, Delta, Maestro, Mastercard, Switch . Please do not send cash through the post, and do not send your credit/debit card details by e-mail.
Retention of Title The title of all goods supplied remains the property of Riverside Furniture until paid for in full.
